A lava-inspired living room, guest rooms with Japanese details and an outdoor barrel sauna. Spaces for shared experiences and individual time within one property.

The renovation of KODOU FUJI
An existing building, reimagined for a new stay. Follow the changes to the rooms, bathroom and garden through photographs from the site.

From tatami rooms to a bedroom with a bathroom.
Partitions were removed, tatami rooms converted and a bathroom unit installed to create a guest room.

A new bathroom for the guest experience.
The original bath and wash area was stripped back and reconfigured with a shower enclosure and new basin.

Making space for an outdoor sauna.
From groundworks to a deck and barrel sauna. The outdoor area was still being developed when these photographs were posted, so this is a record of work in progress.
